Roy & Lynn: She Knew Exactly What She Wanted
The Grand Affair | September 26, 2026
Some couples take a year to plan a wedding. Roy and Lynn took a little under two months.
They contacted us on July 30th, and we had one rare opening: a weekend with minimal bookings. They snagged it, and just like that, their wedding weekend was set for September 25 to 27. Lynn knew exactly what she wanted, and our job was to simply help her bring it to life.
A House Full of Love
We already had another couple booked for that same weekend, celebrating their 49th anniversary with us. Between Roy and Lynn's wedding party and a couple marking nearly five decades together, the mansion was going to be full of love.
Vows at the Front Door
On Saturday, September 26, Roy and Lynn were married beneath the arch at our front door by their chosen deacon. Lynn's daughter and Roy's oldest son stood by their sides as 48 guests looked on.
A Reception That Roamed
Instead of a single room and a fixed seating chart, Roy and Lynn chose a roaming indoor reception, and the whole mansion became the party. Guests moved from room to room, with light fare, conversation, and celebration spilling through the house all afternoon.
Ending the Night Around the Fire
The couple chose the perfect ending after the reception, gathering their overnight guests around the bonfire. Staying under our roof meant the celebration did not have to end when the party did, and the evening wound down the way a wedding weekend should: together.
Love Has No Timeline
Roy and Lynn reminded everyone in the house that a love story can begin at any chapter.
Roy and Lynn, thank you for trusting us with your weekend. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together.
