Krystal & Dave: Our First Big Outdoor "Yes"

The Majestic Affair | June 20, 2026

Our doors hadn't even been open a month before Krystal and Dave — friends of ours and Tecumseh locals — toured the mansion and decided this was the place for them. We were so grateful that our very first large wedding booking was with people who would give us grace and patience as we found our footing and figured out what weddings at The Stacy Mansion would look like.

Here's their story, in their own words.

Falling in Love with the Mansion

We toured The Stacy Mansion right when it opened in June of 2025, and we knew right then that we wanted to be married in this beautiful space. The Stacy Sisters — Kim, Serena, and Danielle — will tell you the house itself brings all the magic, but we know differently. Each one of these women brings so much thoughtfulness, joy, and love into the space that you can't help but feel like you're at home. The gardens are stunning, the wedding arch beautiful, and the mansion itself truly breathtaking.

Ten Months of Planning

I worked closely with Serena on our planning. We had about ten months to build our vision after putting down our deposit. Serena listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and took notes. By the week of the wedding, she knew our aesthetic so completely that I didn't have to answer a single question that weekend — she, Kim, and Danielle simply put everything into place.

Everyone, Welcomed

My mother and father-in-law needed a place to stay Thursday night, and even though the mansion is normally only open to overnight guests Friday and Saturday, they happily accommodated them. Every guest who arrived that weekend was greeted with hugs, warmth, and help carrying their luggage.

Friday Night

Danielle happens to be a licensed officiant in the state of Michigan. She, Kim, and Serena led our rehearsal quickly and efficiently. Afterward, we grilled outside by the firepit with our closest family and friends — a picnic dinner tradition of ours — followed by the Stacy Mansion's beloved cookie nightcap.

Our Wedding Day

A homemade buffet breakfast bar was waiting for us that morning, and by the time we'd eaten, chairs were already set for the ceremony, centerpieces were placed, and every last detail was handled — without a single question asked of us. The ceremony, written and led by Danielle, brought our guests to tears of joy. Cocktail hour appetizers appeared, mansion tours ran for our guests, and the whole day unfolded like it came together naturally. It didn't — Kim, Serena, and Danielle worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it look effortless. Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding they'd ever attended.

Sunday Morning

We closed the weekend with a full sit-down, home-cooked two-course breakfast — mimosas, fruit bakes, parfaits, and more than we could finish. The sisters helped us pack up and stage our exit, and by noon, everyone was checked out, cleaned up, and headed home.

"If you are looking for truly wonderful humans, magic, thoughtfulness, and beauty at a really affordable price, get married at The Stacy Mansion. Rent the entire place for the whole weekend and relax while the magic happens before your eyes." — Krystal

"There were absolutely zero issues or flaws in the entire weekend. This was their first large outdoor wedding, and it was amazing — if I didn't know better, I'd say they'd done this hundreds of times. The property is magical and so welcoming, and the food was amazing. Kim, Danielle, and Serena are the most sensational humans. They treat you like family and want to make everyone feel welcome and very well taken care of. Thank you all for giving us the best day of our lives. The mansion and the three sisters will be in my heart forever." — Dave
