The Book Social with Novella Bound at The Stacy Mansion is a warm, unhurried evening designed for people who love books and the conversations that come with them. Part book swap, part craft night, part literary social — this is two hours of fall coziness, great company, and the particular joy of leaving with something new to read.
No pressure. No competition. Just good books, warm drinks, and the kind of evening that feels like a deep breath.
How the Evening Works
Before you arrive, wrap up to three books from home — conceal the title, add a sticky note with the genre and a few clues or reasons you loved it, and bring them along. When you check in, you'll receive a swap token for each book you contribute. Collect your tokens, browse the cozy book display, enjoy the evening — and on your way out, exchange your tokens for wrapped books that caught your eye throughout the night.
Everyone leaves with something to read. Every single person.

One bookish game — play along for a chance to earn a bonus swap token
Your Evening at a Glance
6:00 – 6:30 PM | Arrival, Book Drop & Token Distribution — Arrive, drop your wrapped books on the display table, grab a hot chocolate, and settle in.
6:30 – 7:30 PM | Snacks, Bookmarks & Browsing — Help yourself to the fall refreshment spread, make your bookmark, and spend time browsing the wrapped books on the table — reading the clues, imagining the stories, building your wish list.
7:30 – 7:45 PM | Bookish Game — One quick, fun literary game for the whole group. Win and earn yourself a bonus swap token.
7:45 – 8:00 PM | Blind Date Reveal & Token Exchange — Open your Novella Bound blind date book together. On your way out, exchange your tokens for the wrapped books that caught your eye. Choose wisely — or go entirely on instinct.
A Few Things to Know
What to bring: Up to three gently loved books from home, wrapped to conceal the title. Add a sticky note with the genre and a clue or two — "made me cry on a plane," "read it in one sitting," "perfect for a rainy Sunday." The more personality, the better.
What if I don't bring books? No worries — your ticket still includes your Novella Bound blind date book and full access to the evening. Swap tokens are simply an added bonus for those who bring books to contribute.
What kind of books? Any genre, any era. Fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry — bring what you love and trust that someone in the room will love it too.
