One year ago, we opened our doors — and Tecumseh showed up for us. Now it's our turn to celebrate with you.
Join us for The Stacy Mansion's 1st Anniversary Community Celebration — a free, open afternoon on our historic grounds featuring food trucks, live garden music, local artisans, yard games, and a rare opportunity to step inside and tour the first floor of our beautifully preserved 177-year-old mansion. This is Tecumseh community at its finest: a casual, welcoming afternoon for families, neighbors, and anyone looking for something fun and free to do in Southeast Michigan this fall.
What's Happening
🎵 Backyard Concert with Jon Torrence | 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Spread your blanket, pull up a lawn chair, and settle in for an afternoon of live music in our backyard garden. Jon Torrence brings the soundtrack to our celebration — and there's no better way to spend a September afternoon.
🍽️ Food & Drinks on the Grounds
We're bringing in some of our favorite local vendors to keep you fed and refreshed all afternoon:
S’mac and Cheese — because everyone deserves something warm and delicious
Bussin' Bowls — açaí bowls and waffles to keep things fresh
Musgrove + Co — drinks to sip while you soak it all in
🏛️ First Floor House Tours — Suggested $5 Donation
A rare opportunity to step inside and explore the first floor of The Stacy Mansion. See the spaces we've poured our hearts into this past year and learn a little about the 177-year history of this remarkable home. All suggested donations go directly toward the ongoing restoration and preservation of the mansion.
🪨 Kids' Rock Painting Station
Little ones are welcome and we've got something just for them. Grab a rock, pick up some paint, and create something beautiful. Take your masterpiece home — or leave it in our gardens, where it will live among the flowers and be discovered by future visitors for years to come.
🐸 Garden Scavenger Hunt
Hidden treasures are waiting somewhere in our gardens. Pick up a hunt card, track them down, and turn in your completed card for a prize. Every guest who completes the hunt gets a small trinket — so keep your eyes open and explore every corner of the grounds.
📸 Selfie Stations
We've set up a few perfect photo moments around the property — our beautiful carriage and our cozy indoor couches are ready for their close-up. Snap a photo, tag us, and help us share the love.
💛 Gratitude Wall
One year of memories, guests, and community — all on display. Stop by our Gratitude Wall to see photos from our first year, read reviews and guestbook notes from the people who've walked through our doors, and feel just how much has happened inside these walls since we opened.
🪣 Wishes Wall + Wishing Well
Leave us a wish, a note, a favorite memory from our first year, or something you're looking forward to in the future. Write it down, hang it on our Wishes Wall — then receive a key to make your own wish in our well. Every key holds a hope for what's next. For you, for us, and for this community.
